Welcome to Room 104!

Lori Mullins

 Ms. Mullins
I am thrilled to be working with your student this year in First Grade!
This is my first year at North Buncombe ES and I feel so blessed to be at such a welcoming and supportive school!

After growing up in northern Alabama, I attended college in Florida and received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Florida. I then taught first and third grades for several years in Pasco County, just north of Tampa. After taking time off to raise my daughter, I taught in Kingsport, Tennessee for eight years and then, my husband and I moved to northern Virginia, where I taught for seven years and spent three of those years teaching first grade.

I have been married to a wonderful man for 35 years.  My daughter, who is also a teacher, and my son-in-law live in the Atlanta area.  My "favorite" child is my 16-year-old Maltese named Maggie.  My family and I love living in Weaverville and so appreciate the beauty and the warmth of the people of this area.

First grade is a year of important transitions, as well as one in which many new skills are acquired. It is also exciting and fun!  I look forward to getting to know your child and working with you this year.
