Ipock, Ginnie- EC Teacher

Ginnie Ipock
Welcome to Mrs. Ipock's Class!
Hello Parents!  My name is Ginnie Ipock, and I was here at North Buncombe Elementary School from 2012-14 as a Teacher Assistant in Intensive Intervention, while I completed my grad school for teaching.  I then taught at Sand Hill-Venable Elementary School staff in 2015 as an Intensive Intervention Teacher, and I moved into a Resource classroom in 2016.  I am excited to be back in North Buncombe Elementary close to home.
I graduated from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill with a Psychology, B.S., and continued with a Graduate Certification of Teaching- Special Education from University of North Carolina- Charlotte.  I have been working with Exceptional Children since 2007, and I thoroughly love this work!
I began working with an E.C. population as a therapeutic riding assistant at Mountin' Hopes in Mars Hill, N.C.  I have subsequently worked with the Autism Society of North Carolina and Easter Seals, UCP, and WNC B.E.S.T. as an ABA counselor, helping children learn daily living skills, appropriate behaviors and social skills, and extracurricular academics.  I have worked in Buncombe County Schools since 2011.
In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, camping, fishing, canoeing- pretty much any excuse to get outside!  I also enjoy reading- anything and everything. I love to develop this love of reading in my students as well.
